MCX Gold Futures Plummet Amid Global Weakness

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) dropped by Rs 409 to Rs 1,53,057 per 10 grams for October delivery due to weaker spot demand. This decline in prices is also reflected globally, with gold futures falling by 0.06 percent to USD 4,347.69 per ounce in New York.

The weak spot demand led to a decrease in the price of yellow metal contracts on MCX, resulting in a business turnover of 2,732 lots. Analysts attributed this decline to the reduced demand for gold in the market.
