MCX Gold Trades Above ₹1.55 Lakh, Crude Oil Rangebound on August 17

Gold futures on MCX traded above ₹1.55 lakh per 10 grams, while crude oil remained rangebound on August 17.

The yellow metal is trading marginally higher in the international market, with gold spot prices around $4,453 per ounce, up 0.3%.

Silver traded 1.1% higher at $65.8 per ounce in the US markets, supported by a weaker US dollar index and softer expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike after largely in-line US inflation data.

Crude oil spot prices were flat on August 17, with Brent Futures trading around $88.4 per barrel, down 0.1%, while WTI Crude traded 0.5% lower, around $80.9.
