BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari recently visited several villages in Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, to discuss the impact of the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme on local farmers.

Bhandari interacted with corn, sugarcane, and rice farmers about their experiences with the initiative launched by the Centre.

Meerut is one of the districts in Uttar Pradesh where the EBP programme has been implemented to promote ethanol blending in petrol. The programme aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and encourage renewable energy sources.

Bhandari acknowledged that while there may be challenges in implementing such a programme, the benefits for farmers are substantial.
