This week saw investors pouring billions into broad U.S. equities and mega-cap tech leadership, but also taking steps to hedge their bets.

The Invesco QQQ Trust Series I (QQQ) was the clear winner, attracting $7.85 billion in new assets as of August 6 due to its exposure to the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq.

Meanwhile, large-cap blue-chip stocks also gained traction, with the State Street SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) seeing $1.90 billion in inflows as earnings growth continued across U.S. markets.

In addition to these aggressive allocations, investors were also prioritizing safety and stability by pouring capital into defensive assets like short-duration Treasuries, spot gold, and healthcare sector exposure.
