Mellitah Boosts Production at Al-Rimal Field After Oil Well Rehabilitation
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that Mellitah Oil & Gas has completed maintenance and rehabilitation work on oil well R-3 in the Al-Rimal field.
The rehabilitation work included replacing completion equipment, re-perforating target formations, and installing an Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) to improve well efficiency and enhance production rates.
Initial operational tests yielded positive results, with the well achieving a flow rate of 3,026 barrels per day at a pump operating frequency of 50 Hz, while recording a wellhead pressure of 310 pounds per square inch (psi).
