Metals Markets Show Mixed Performance on August 10
Metals markets showed mixed performance on August 10, according to the Shanghai Metals Market's midday review.
Copper prices fell by 0.52% in the domestic market, while aluminum rose 0.15%, and lead increased by 0.41%. However, zinc dropped 1.68%, and tin declined 1.34%.
Lithium carbonate saw a notable gain of 1.5%, followed by silicon metal rising 0.47%, and coking coal increasing by 1.75%.
On the overseas base metals front, LME copper rose 0.3%, while LME aluminum increased 0.69%. However, LME zinc fell 0.09%
In precious metals, SHFE gold surged 1.5%, and SHFE silver climbed 2.05%. The most-traded platinum futures rose 0.61%, but palladium futures dropped 0.05%.
