Methanex Closure Unleashes Huge Gas Supply into Struggling Market
New Zealand's gas supply has received a significant boost after Methanex, the country's largest gas consumer, announced its decision to close down and sell off its gas contracts.
The Canadian multinational was using nearly half of the country's total natural gas supply at times.
With Methanex's departure, Genesis Energy has picked up major gas contracts that will run from March next year through to December 2029.
