METLEN Signs Five-Year LNG Deal with PETRONAS

Greece's METLEN has signed a five-year deal with Malaysia's PETRONAS to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Greece. The agreement, which begins in 2027, will see PTUK deliver six LNG cargoes per year, amounting to approximately 0.6 billion cubic meters annually.

The deal strengthens METLEN's strategy to diversify its LNG sourcing and enhance flexibility and resilience in procurement, contributing to security of supply in Greece and Southeast Europe. For PETRONAS, the agreement reflects its commitment to delivering reliable and flexible LNG solutions that support customers' evolving energy needs.

METLEN's Chief Executive Director International Energy Supply & Trading, Panayotis Kanellopoulos, said: “This agreement with PETRONAS represents an important step in strengthening METLEN’s strategy to diversify its LNG sourcing.”
