Mexico's Natural Gas Imports Soar Amid Record Heat
Mexico's natural gas imports from the United States have seen a significant increase since Monday, driven by intense heat in the northern part of the country.
The average import volume has reached over 8 Bcf/d (billion cubic feet per day), with south Texas flows hitting 5.65 Bcf/d.
The extreme temperatures, exceeding 115 degrees Fahrenheit in northern Mexico, have led to increased cooling demand, propelling the surge in imports.
