Michigan Gas Prices Soar to Highest Since May Amid Global Tensions
Michigan's gas prices have reached their highest point since May due to seasonal demand and global tensions, which have caused crude oil prices to fluctuate. According to AAA, Lansing and Jackson currently hold the top spots for metro gas prices in Michigan, both averaging $4.43 per gallon. Traverse City follows closely behind at $4.42 per gallon.
Adrienne Woodland, a spokesperson with AAA, warns that prices may remain elevated unless crude oil prices decrease. She notes that demand typically doesn't drop until after Labor Day, when kids are back in school and people return to their regular schedules.
