Mid-East Conflict Escalates with Saudi Airstrikes on Yemen
Saudi-backed forces launched airstrikes on four Yemeni provinces overnight, according to Houthi rebels. The strikes come after Houthi attacks on Saudi oil facilities and utilities wounded 73 people.
The Houthi spokesman Nasruddin Amer said the airstrikes hit Taiz, Hodeida, Jawf, and Marib provinces, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Separately, Iranian state media reported that Iran's forces struck eight oil tankers and two U.S. vessels in retaliation for U.S. strikes on five Iranian tankers on Tuesday.
The U.S. Central Command denied claims that American warships had been struck, saying all attempted attacks failed.
