Midday Corn Price Drop Due to Export Sale and Shipments Decline
Corn futures are trading down at midday on Monday, with prices ranging from fractionally to 1 cent lower.
The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price has dropped a penny to $4.08 1/2.
A private export sale of 105,000 MT of corn to unknown destinations was reported by the USDA for the 2026/27 marketing year.
Corn shipments rose 14.29% from last year in the week of 8/6, according to the Export Inspections report, but fell short of the previous week's exports.
The largest destinations for corn were Mexico, Japan, and Spain, which received 422,988 MT, 328,351 MT, and 320,284 MT respectively.
