Middle East Conflict Escalates as Houthis Target Saudi Oil Installations

The conflict in the Middle East has reached a critical point as Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis fired on Saudi oil installations, targeting sites at Jizan and Yanbu.

Despite reports of damage to these facilities, there were no US attacks on Iran for the first night in two weeks.

The US had been conducting air strikes against Iranian targets since an interim deal to end hostilities collapsed, but it's unclear why they held back from launching new strikes.

Saudi Arabia's main Red Sea oil port, Yanbu, is a key route out for Saudi oil, and the Houthi leader declared all Saudi oil facilities could be targets in response to US attacks.
