Middle East Conflict Fears Drive Up Oil Prices
Oil prices continued to rise on Tuesday as concerns about a prolonged conflict in the Middle East intensified. Iran's threat of retaliation against any new US attacks on its assets has heightened worries over supply disruptions.
The Brent crude futures price climbed 34 cents, or 0.35%, to $97.34 a barrel by 0000 GMT. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $92.63 a barrel, up $1.15, or 1.26%.
