A recent series of attacks on energy facilities and oil tankers in the Middle East has led to market volatility, according to reports from various news sources.

i24 News reported that the US is currently attacking Iranian oil tankers, citing a US source. This development comes after Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said a number of energy facilities and utilities were hit, temporarily halting some operations.

The attacks have caused a steady upside of around 1% in the crude complex, with Brent Nov'26 prices increasing by +1.0%. However, it's worth noting that not all reports are confirmatory, as Russian President Putin said Russia and Ukraine should agree on a peace agreement first, which led to a -1.3% decrease in Brent prices.

The situation remains fluid, with various sources providing conflicting information. For instance, initial reports of an American attack on Iran caused a +1.2% increase in Brent crude, while a ceasefire between the US and Iran was reported by Ria, citing Pakistani and Iranian sources, which led to a -2.4% decrease.

The recent strikes on Saudi Aramco Jizan oil facilities, reported by the FT, have added to the market uncertainty.
