Middle East Strikes Send Oil Prices Soaring 5%
Oil prices surged on Wednesday due to renewed strikes in the Middle East, which raised concerns over potential disruptions to crude supplies. The Brent crude benchmark climbed 5.3% to $88.57 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 5% to $83.25 a barrel.
The sharp rebound came as investors closely watched the situation for any signs that further escalation could affect oil production, transportation, or exports. The Middle East remains a crucial part of the global energy market, meaning prolonged disruption could put additional pressure on crude prices and increase concerns over energy costs worldwide.
