Middle East Tensions Drive Crude Oil Prices to New Heights
Crude oil prices continued their upward trend on Tuesday, driven by escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The Brent crude benchmark rose to $91.05 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) reached $86.59 after gaining 56 cents and 83 cents respectively, or 0.6% and 1%, in a single day.
This surge marks the highest valuation for both benchmarks since late August, following previous gains of 2.7% and 2.8% respectively in the previous session.
