Middle East Tensions Drive Oil Prices Above $100
The escalating conflict in the Middle East has pushed oil prices above $100 a barrel for the first time since July.
The price of Brent crude, the international benchmark for oil prices, rose by 2.1% to over $100 a barrel following tensions in the Gulf amid an exchange of fire between the US and Iran.
The conflict has been ongoing for six months, with hopes for a permanent resolution fading as fighting flared again.
