Middle East Tensions Fuel Widespread Oil Market Shortfall
Oil markets are facing a significant shortfall due to renewed hostilities and maritime disruptions in the Middle East, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The IEA has revised its estimates for global oil inventories downward, expecting them to tumble this quarter at more than twice the previous rate.
This shortfall is expected to reach 1.8 million barrels a day as production recovery is undermined by ongoing conflicts and disruptions in key oil-producing regions.
