Midnight Sun Mining's Dumbwa Copper Deposit Yields New Exploration Targets Amid Record Copper Prices
The global copper market is experiencing record price levels due to tightening supply and rising demand from electrification, data centers, and power grid upgrades. Copper futures climbed above US$6.70 per pound on August 6, according to Trading Economics.
Midnight Sun Mining Corp. (MMA:TSX.V; MDNGF:OTCQX) reported that its initial high-resolution ground magnetic survey at the Dumbwa copper deposit in Solwezi, Zambia, identified multiple new exploration targets outside the previously defined and drilled mineralized corridor.
The company is extending the survey across the full 20 km copper-in-soil anomaly to refine targets ahead of Phase 2 drilling. Analysts are bullish on Midnight Sun Mining, with a Buy rating and CA$3.00 target price from Haywood.
