Mining Stocks Poised to Gain as Weaker US Dollar Boosts Commodity Prices
Investors are keeping an eye on three mining stocks that could benefit from a weaker US dollar, according to Simply Wall St. Aura Minerals (AUGO) is one of them, as its gold and copper production in the Americas exposes it to currency fluctuations.
Aura Minerals' revenue is spread across several key operations, with Aranzazu, Minosa, Almas, and Borborema each contributing around $250 million to $280 million. With a market cap of about $7.3 billion, Aura Minerals provides scale exposure to USD-linked metals while remaining a pure play on gold and copper prices.
Another stock on the list is PLS Group (ASX:PLS), a pure play lithium company in Australia that sells globally priced lithium against largely local currency costs. With a market cap of roughly $16.3 billion, PLS Group provides focused exposure to lithium demand tied to electric vehicles and energy storage.
The third stock is Allied Gold (TSX:AAUC), a Toronto-based gold producer with mines in Africa that sell output in US dollars while many on the ground costs are in local currencies. With a market cap of about CA$4.4 billion, Allied Gold offers focused exposure to gold that is already producing at scale.
