Misc Wins 10-Year LNG Contract from Malaysia LNG
Misc Bhd has secured a 10-year contract from Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd (MLNG) to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The contract is for a newbuild 18,700-cubic metre LNG carrier that will start providing services in 2028.
Misc has also signed a shipbuilding contract with China's Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co Ltd to construct the vessel.
According to Misc, the project supports PETRONAS' continued LNG supply to Sendai City, Japan, reinforcing a long-standing partnership of nearly 30 years and ensuring reliable delivery of LNG to meet customer needs.
