Mixed Global Cues Signal Steady Opening in Indian Markets
Global markets presented a mixed picture overnight, with US indices closing in the red while Asian counterparts also faced downward pressure. The GIFT Nifty futures, however, are trading higher, suggesting a potential gap-up opening for domestic exchanges.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.60%, while the NASDAQ Composite dropped 0.65% on Thursday. The Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng Index declined by 2.71% and 1.19%, respectively.
Despite the negative global cues, domestic markets are poised for a steady opening, supported by a firm GIFT Nifty and strong DII buying. Crude oil prices remained stable at $102.74, while gold dipped 0.76% to $4,373.90.
