Mixed Global Markets Follow Oil Price Drop Amid US-Iran Tensions
Global markets are mixed today following losses on Wall Street yesterday. While some European indices rose modestly, most Asian markets declined in value.
The economic data released from Britain showed a faster-than-expected growth rate for July, with the FTSE 100 rising 0.5% to 10,656.44.
However, other major indices were not as fortunate, with Japan's Nikkei 225 dropping 1.9% to 64,011.34 and South Korea's Kospi losing 1.8% to 6,909.91.
The price of oil has also decreased, with Brent crude trading at $104.09 per barrel after earlier rising above $108 due to tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
