Mixed Results Across Commodities as Markets Close on September 2
Closing markets for Wednesday, September 2 showed mixed results in various commodities. On the Chicago Board of Trade, corn futures saw a decrease of $0.50 to $5.45 per bushel for December delivery and $5.59 per bushel for March delivery.
Soybean futures also dropped, down by $6 at $13.11 per bushel for November delivery and $13.26 per bushel for January delivery.
Wheat futures declined as well, with a decrease of $7 to $7.75 per bushel for December delivery and $5 to $7.92 per bushel for March delivery.
Live cattle futures dropped significantly, down by $172 at $210.35 per hundredweight for October delivery and $127 at $212.10 per hundredweight for December delivery.
In contrast, the price of corn and soybeans for the 2027 crop saw increases, up by $3 to $6.55 per bushel for corn and up a half to $16.12 per bushel for soybeans.
