MOL Completes Six-Vessel LNG Carrier Newbuilding Program for CNOOC

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has completed its six-vessel LNG carrier newbuilding program for China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), marking the final delivery of LNG carrier Greenergy Cloud on July 1, 2026.

The vessels were built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China and are jointly owned by MOL, CNOOC, and COSCO SHIPPING LNG Investment. The CNOOC series includes six LNG carriers: Greenergy Ocean, Greenergy Pearl, Greenergy Star, Greenergy Moon, Greenergy Wind, and the newly delivered Greenergy Cloud.

The long-term charter agreement between MOL and CNOOC Gas & Power Singapore Trading & Marketing was signed in January 2022. The naming of Greenergy Cloud on June 17, 2026, marked the completion of construction for the six-vessel series.
