The Moldovan government has announced that the country is well-prepared for the upcoming heating season. State Secretary Vitalie Mîța stated on a radio show that the Republic of Moldova has diversified its gas supply, with approximately 30% of electricity now produced from renewable sources.

Mîța mentioned that the Vulcănești-Chișinău line is in its final phase of completion and is expected to be operational by the end of October. This will increase the country's security of electricity supply, as currently around half of the consumed electricity is imported from neighboring states.

The government has also addressed concerns about natural gas supplies, stating that 40% of the volume is acquired on the free market and large consumers can contract with regional suppliers. However, there are still risks associated with the Transnistrian region's supply, which remains a concern until an entity responsible for gas delivery is designated or reconfirmed.
