Moldova Railways Hauls Over 46,500 Tons of Goods in August
The Railway of Moldova state enterprise (CFM) has reported significant transportation numbers for last August, highlighting the importance of railways in Moldova's exports and regional trade routes.
According to CFM, over 46,500 tons of goods were transported, consisting mainly of agricultural products. The largest quantity was rapeseed at 10,789 tons, followed by oilseed crops (7,526 tons), wheat (7,428 tons), and peas (2,786 tons).
In addition to exports, CFM also transported 18,019 tons of goods in transit, with the majority passing through the Basarabeasca, Galati route. The company emphasizes that these shipments demonstrate the role of railway infrastructure in supporting Moldova's national economy and agricultural sector.
