MoldovaGaz Merges Territorial Enterprises to Cut Costs

MoldovaGaz's 12 territorial enterprises may be merged into one entity to reduce administrative costs, according to Igor Grosu, Speaker of Parliament. This move aims to optimize some costs borne by MoldovaGaz and lower natural gas tariffs for consumers.

Grosu criticized the high salaries within the company, with some employees earning up to 360 thousand lei (approximately $22,000 USD) per month. He also pointed out that advisors receive payments of 90 thousand lei ($5,600 USD) per month.

The Speaker believes that a single company could handle the responsibilities of the 12 structures using technical and IT solutions for centralized management.
