Montenegrin Government Blames Middle East Tensions for Oil Price Hike
The Government of Montenegro has attributed the rise in oil prices to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and disruptions in global supply chains.
As a result, the government has announced adjustments to excise duties on unleaded gasoline and gas oils. Starting July 28, Eurosuper 98 will cost 1.81 euros, Eurosuper 95 1.77, and Eurodiesel 1.79 euros.
To mitigate the impact of price increases on citizens and the economy during the tourist season, the government has decided to continue applying excise duty reductions on Eurodiesel with an adjusted level of reduction in accordance with the current decision.
