Motherson Reports Highest-Ever Quarterly Revenue of ₹35,244 Crore
Samvardhana Motherson International Limited reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹35,244 crore in Q1 FY27, a 17 percent increase from ₹30,212 crore in the same period last year. The company's consolidated revenue rose due to healthy performance across various businesses, particularly wiring harness and emerging segments.
The EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) grew by 26 percent to ₹3,104 crore, with a margin of 8.8 percent from 8.2 percent. This was driven by operational efficiencies and cost optimization despite rising input costs due to copper and polymer price increases.
The company completed two acquisitions during the quarter: Nexans Autoelectric's wiring harness business on July 3, 2026, and Yutaka Giken on July 21, 2026. The company is expected to benefit from these additions as their contributions get fully reflected in consolidated numbers from Q2 FY27 onwards.
