Madhya Pradesh's industrial sector is calling for a uniform gas pricing policy to improve competitiveness and reduce cost uncertainty. The Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh has met with senior officials from Avantika Gas Ltd, requesting a review of retrospective interest demands on piped natural gas (PNG) bills.

The association argues that consumers should not be penalized for delays in billing by gas distribution companies. Several industrial units have received interest demands on bills dating back to 2024, despite the delay being attributable to the supplier.

President of the Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh Yogesh Mehta stated, 'Industries should not be penalized for delays attributable to the gas supplier.' The association also sought timely billing, a review of security deposit requirements, and faster release of new industrial gas connections.
