MSC Group Unveils Luxe Cruise Liner with Cutting-Edge Features
Explora Journeys' new flagship, the Explora III, has been launched in Barcelona. The ultra-luxury cruise line is part of the MSC Group and has invested over 7 billion euros in its high-end fleet development. This addition brings the company closer to its goal of operating six ships by 2028.
The Explora III features a unique design, with 19.5 square meters of public space per passenger, making it one of the highest ratios in the industry. The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), reducing emissions of sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides. It also has shore power connection systems to minimize local emissions during port stays.
The ship's interior design is a collaboration between Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola and the Explora Journeys team, featuring a renovated main lobby, a wine cellar with over 350 international references, and personalized dining experiences.
