Munir's Oil Venture Leverage in Secret Iran-Saudi Ceasefire Deal
Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir allegedly played a key role in brokering an informal understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia during the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict.
The arrangement reportedly aimed to prevent Iranian attacks on Saudi territory while Tehran agreed to halt strikes against the Gulf kingdom.
Munir used a joint oil transport venture involving him and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief Ahmad Vahidi as leverage to secure the understanding, according to three officials familiar with the matter.
