Munir's Secret Oil Deal Helps Prevent Saudi-Iran Conflict

Pakistan Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir allegedly played a key role in brokering a covert understanding between Iran and Saudi Arabia during the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict.

The arrangement reportedly aimed to prevent Iranian attacks on Saudi territory while Tehran agreed to halt strikes against the Gulf kingdom.

Munir mediated the agreement in late March, according to three officials familiar with the matter, including a Middle East diplomat and a regional intelligence official.

The report claimed that Munir used a joint oil transport venture involving him and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief Ahmad Vahidi as leverage to secure the understanding.
