Myanmar LNG Power Project Reaches 24% Completion, Aims for 2029 Finish
The Mee Lin Gyaing LNG power project in Myanmar's Ayeyawady Region has reached 24.4% completion, according to the region's government.
The $2.504 billion project, backed by a consortium including Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group and Union Resource & Engineering, aims to build a 1,390-megawatt liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fired power plant at Mee Lin Gyaing.
A new Mee Lin Gyaing-Yangon natural gas pipeline is also part of the project, which is scheduled for completion in 2029.
