Nanded's PNG Network Set to Launch, Bringing Affordable Gas to 4,000 Homes
The city of Nanded is set to receive a major infrastructure boost with the upcoming launch of its Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network. This project, undertaken by Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL), will bring gas connections to approximately 4,000 households in the first phase.
According to the plans, an MDPE gas pipeline stretching around 15 kilometers is being laid across various areas of Nanded city, including Farandenagar, Tirumalanagar, and Chhatrapati Chowk. This network will provide residents with a continuous and seamless 24-hour gas supply, eliminating concerns about running out of gas and the need to wait for bookings and deliveries.
The PNG connections are expected to be approximately 10 to 15 percent cheaper than existing LPG cylinders, reducing household expenses for the general public. Moreover, MNGL will bear the entire cost of installing the necessary infrastructure, including the gas pipeline extending from the exterior wall of the customer's home to the kitchen.
The district administration has encouraged residents in areas where pipeline work is underway to take advantage of this facility and make the most of PNG connections to ensure a safe, affordable, and uninterrupted gas supply.
