NASCAR Returns to Iowa Speedway with New Track Surface in 2027
NASCAR has confirmed its return to Iowa Speedway on July 4 weekend in 2027, marking the beginning of a new era for the facility. The track will debut a brand-new racing surface after a full repave that begins immediately following this year's Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.
The event will feature three days of racing, with the ARCA Menards Series taking to the track on Friday, July 2, followed by the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday, July 3, and the NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday, July 4. The new surface is expected to preserve Iowa Speedway's reputation for close-quarters competition.
Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson said, 'From the moment NASCAR returned to Iowa Speedway, fans have embraced this event in an incredible way with three consecutive NASCAR Cup Series sellouts.'
