Nat-Gas Prices Plunge in Sympathy with Crude Oil
Nat-gas prices declined on Tuesday, mirroring the drop in crude oil prices. The September Nymex natural gas (NGU26) closed down -0.012 (-0.43%) on the day.
The price fall was tempered by forecasts for hot US weather, which could boost demand from electricity providers to power air conditioning use.
The Commodity Weather Group reported that temperatures are expected to be above-average across the Gulf, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic from August 30 through September 8.
