National Gas Price Hits Record High of $4.10 Per Gallon
The national average price for gasoline has risen to $4.10 per gallon, marking the highest ever recorded for this date, according to AAA.
This increase comes despite a decline in gasoline demand, which is typical for this time of year, and higher crude oil prices that are pushing prices at the pump upward.
The current national average is 3 cents higher than last week's price and $4.06 per gallon on average so far in August, exceeding the previous record set in 2022.
