The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has remained unchanged at $4.09, despite elevated crude oil prices continuing to keep fuel costs high.
According to AAA, the instability along the Strait of Hormuz is limiting the seasonal decline in gasoline prices that typically begins in August.
The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has been above $4 since May, and prices remain significantly higher than a year ago, when the national average was $3.14 per gallon.
