Natural Gas E&P Stocks Fire on All Cylinders in Q2
Natural gas-focused energy companies reported strong Q2 earnings results, beating analysts' consensus estimates by 2.3%. The six upstream natural gas E&P stocks tracked by TradingView saw revenues increase significantly year-over-year.
BKV (NYSE:BKV) stood out as the top performer, reporting a 44.6% year-over-year revenue growth and exceeding analysts' expectations by 27.4%. The company's 'closed-loop' model, which links gas production to carbon capture, helped drive its success.
Range Resources (NYSE:RRC) also reported strong results, with revenues up 5.4% year-over-year and a beat of analysts' EPS estimates. EQT (NYSE:EQT), the largest natural gas producer in the US by daily volume, reported a 13.2% year-over-year revenue increase and topped analysts' expectations.
Antero Resources (NYSE:AR) was the only company to miss analyst estimates, with revenues up 22.7% year-over-year but falling short of expectations by 3%. CNX Resources (NYSE:CNX), another natural gas producer, reported a 3.7% year-over-year revenue decline and missed analysts' expectations.
