Natural Gas Futures Rise as Market Shifts from Injection Season
Prompt month natural gas futures rose for the first time since June 18 after posting losses in each of the previous four weeks. In contrast, November-March contracts saw significant gains. The August futures contract continues to decline, marking its fourth week of decreases.
The market is currently 'pretty well supplied,' according to forecasts that suggest a 'hotter than normal' period ahead. However, injection season, which typically brings an increase in natural gas supplies, has passed, and the focus is now on consumption.
