Natural Gas Grinds Lower as Buyers Eye Long-Term Floor
Natural gas has been trading in a tight range, struggling to break above the $3.000 mark as it approaches a long-term floor that's held since mid-last year.
This zone of interest, roughly between $2.400 and $3.000, previously acted as a launchpad for the sharp rally seen in late 2025, so buyers could be waiting nearby to defend this zone once more.
If the floor holds, natural gas could bounce back up to test the 100 SMA dynamic resistance near $2.900, followed by the 200 SMA closer to $3.200.
The path of least resistance remains to the downside for now, as confirmed by the 100 SMA crossing below the 200 SMA and price trading below both indicators.
