Natural Gas Intrastate Prices Vary Across US Regions
Natural gas intrastate prices have been making headlines in recent weeks. According to data from Energy Intelligence, on September 11, 2026, natural gas intrastate prices varied across different regions in the United States.
The highest price was reported in the Northeast region at $2.35 per million British thermal units (MMBtu). In contrast, the lowest price was recorded in the South Central region at $1.93 per MMBtu.
These prices are significantly lower than the national average of $2.55 per MMBtu reported by Energy Intelligence. The data also shows that natural gas intrastate prices have been fluctuating due to changes in supply and demand, as well as weather conditions.
