Natural Gas Price Breaks 50-Day EMA After $3 Rejection Sparks Bullish Sentiment
The natural gas price has broken its 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) after being rejected at $3, according to recent market analysis. This development is significant because it could indicate a shift in market sentiment towards more bullish expectations.
The source of the supply issue affecting European demand for natural gas is still unclear, with some uncertainty surrounding whether Qatar will be able to meet its contractual obligations to countries like Germany and Belgium. To address this shortfall, Qatar has been buying liquefied natural gas from the United States.
A market analyst noted that they have shifted their view on the natural gas price from very bearish to somewhat neutral as the year progresses. They are watching the $3 level as a potential ceiling for the price and believe there may be a floor around $2.65, although this could be higher due to the fact that the current contract is different from previous ones.
