Natural Gas Price Pulls Back from Channel Top
Natural gas prices have been rising within an ascending channel since mid-August, reaching a fresh high near $2.873 before losing steam.
The rally appears to be losing momentum, with a pullback underway as price retreats from the channel's upper boundary back toward its middle range.
A break above a shorter-term rising trend line suggests that buyers may have taken profits after the sharp advance off the $2.650 area.
However, the broader ascending channel remains intact, keeping the bigger uptrend bias alive as long as price holds above the channel's bottom near $2.700.
The Fibonacci retracement tool highlights potential support levels at 38.2% ($2.783) and 50% ($2.755), while a deeper correction could test the 61.8% level ($2.727).
