Natural Gas Price Rally Shows Signs of Weakening
Natural gas prices have been trending upward within an ascending channel since late August, but signs are emerging that the rally may be losing steam.
A head and shoulders formation has taken shape near the $3.000 handle, with the recent swing high marking the 'head' and a subsequent peak just above $2.960 forming the right shoulder before price rolled over.
The neckline of this pattern coincidentally aligns with the ascending channel's lower boundary, currently being tested in the $2.900 to $2.920 area.
A confirmed break below this shared support and neckline zone could validate the reversal pattern, potentially leading to a decline of similar magnitude back toward the $2.750 to $2.800 region where the channel initially formed.
