Natural Gas Price Teeters on Descending Wedge Breakout

Natural Gas (NATGAS/USD) is currently trading inside a descending wedge formation, with both boundaries sloping lower and converging near the $2.60 mark. The price has found support at the lower edge of the pattern and bounced off the wedge floor.

The 100 SMA is below the 200 SMA, indicating that the path of least resistance remains to the downside for now. However, a break above the descending wedge's upper trend line could flip the bias and open the door for a climb back toward the moving averages near the $2.85, $3.00 region.

On the other hand, a decisive break below wedge support could trigger a selloff, potentially dragging price toward the psychological $2.30, $2.40 area or lower. The stochastic recently dipped into oversold territory and is starting to curl higher, hinting that bullish energy may be building.
