Natural Gas Prices Break Above $2, Set Sights on $2.50
Natural gas prices have broken above the $2 level, and it seems they may continue to rise in the short term. According to Christopher Lewis of FX Empire, investors should look for opportunities to buy dips in a lowly levered position, such as an ETF, and hold on to them for most of the year.
Lewis notes that supply issues with natural gas are still a concern, but perhaps people are starting to realize there is natural gas available in the Middle East. This could lead to higher prices due to geopolitical factors. However, Lewis does not think this will be a long-term issue and believes $2.50 is a possible target.
Lewis emphasizes that this investment strategy should be viewed as a long-term play rather than a short-term 'smash and grab' trade.
